One in a million

ree

One in a million was written in the 1990s, in 1996 to be precise. It's a love song that has kind of evolved, starting out as something you recognise in someone that makes you want to be with them, and thirty years later, yes that's right, thirty years later you still recognise that something having spent the best years of your life with them.

It was never written with that kind of foresight. It initially was caught up in the moment of meeting someone and feeling the excitement of building a new relationship.

Thirty years on it reflects on a life time of memories, the ups and downs of situations that life throws at you, and of course, settling into life and bringing up a family.

In resurrecting the song, it's title makes you realise that the person you once thought was one in a million all those years ago, is still very much one in a million now. In fact, they're probably one in a billion, or trillion - Priceless is maybe more accurate. After all they've done for you and worked with you to make life as happy as can be, it's a long song grown old but still holds true.
